Day #4 Blog Challenge= A habit I wish I didn't have!

I OVER think everything. I can never make decisions because I am almost too logical. If everything doesn't seem to fit just right in my mind then I cannot really commit myself to it. On a rare occasion I have been able to overcome it, and make a decision based on faith or instinct, but boy does it take a lot of effort. I just don't like being wrong. I think this is why I am such an opinionated person, I have take a ton of time and effort to come to the conclusions I have, and now that I am at them I want to share them. I get that I may be wrong, but if I am it won't be due to the lack of research and time put in by me. Sometimes I wish I could make a spur of the moment decision, but I really struggle at that. Blah!

3 is my favorite #

Day #3 of the challenge.... Post a picture of your craziest friend.

I won't post a picture of my friend that I consider to be the most emotionally crazy because that would probably be offensive to said person.

I do have a few friends that I think are politically crazy, but I also won't post pictures of them because they too might be offended.

The date on this picture is incorrect.

I guess currently my "craziest" friend is a girl by the name of Rebekah Rene Shepherd. I haven't seen her in over a year, but I am sure she is up to something mischievous. She is the kind of person who will always join in on whatever stupid idea/adventure you want to do. Incredibly spontaneous, and just a blast to be around. We have had some very good times together, and hopefully I will get to see her again sometime soon. I have had other crazy friends in my life, but they all seem to be less crazy as time goes by except for Rebekah (according to her fb).

Runners up (in no particular order)
1- Saydee
2- Kelly
3- Rachello (the only person I have ever flown a confederate flag with)
4- Michelle

Segundo Dia

Day #2 - A good memory

I have had plenty of good memories, but I feel I need to pick one that shows my character well.

I could talk about the propsal, multiple concerts, graduation, multiple Aggie basketball moments, church stuff, weird high school stuff, but instead I will talk about one of the greatest moments in my life, something I truly wish I could live through again.

On July 21,2007 at midnight I recieved a copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I wish I could describe the complete euphoria. Dressed in wizarding robes with the word "sneak" dotted across my face in red marker, I drove home with the book. Before I received the book I walked around "diagon alley" at Wise Bird's with a few of my other wizarding friends. We saw Hagrid, Nearly- Headless Nick, Rita Skeeter, and some very oddly dressed muggles. When I finally arrived home that night I locked my door, turned off my phone, opened a can of DP(I had a 12 pack), and started reading. I read 250 pages before I fell asleep for 2 hours. I woke up and finished the book at 2 pm that day. I cried

Why not?

There is this "30 Day Blogger Challenge" going around, and although others started a good 20 days ago. I figure I might as well do it. I currently don't have much to blog about, so why not do this for 30 days.

#1- A recent picture and 15 interesting facts about yourself.

1- I have a talent for card and board games. I don't know why, but after I get the hang of these games, I can't lose. If you don't believe me ask my family, or friends. Phase 10, Small World, Ticket to Ride, Settlers, and Pounce are games that I have completely mastered. Don't believe me? Play me!

2- Music is incredibly important to me. I cannot stand musicians who don't try and do something unique. There are too many popular musicians right now that sound like everyone else. They are more like businessmen than musicians. They found a niche that makes money, and have utilized it. When I listen to music, I want to be listening to a true artist. I am not saying I have never fallen victim to a Taylor Swift, Rocket Summer, or Katy Perry song... I just don't consider them artists. I can never buy a single song off an album because to me that would be like buying a tenth of a painting. I want the full experience of what this person was trying to convey..

3- I can talk sports. I have met plenty of people who know more about sports than me, but I have never met someone who I can't carry a conversation with when it comes to sports. Even when it comes to that obscure sport called hockey, or in Utah... baseball.

4- Fish! Fish! Fish! That is all I want everyday, and if I could have it my way it would be raw.

5- On the sushi thing. I am absolutely convinced that I can get anyone to like it. After working at a sushi place for a year, I know the easy rolls to eat, and I know how to get someone to progress into more complex rolls.

6- Hipsters bug the hell out of me. That is all.

7- East of Eden is my all time favorite book. It is highlighted like my scriptures, and I read it or pieces of it as often as I can. John Steinbeck is a genius.

8- Garden State has been watched nearly 500 times by me, and that is not an exaggeration.

9- Lots of people say they hate politics, but I LOVE THEM!!!!

10- I back packed in Europe for 20 days.... all by myself, and it was marvelous.

11- I am Irish, Spanish, Mexican, Navajo, Jewish, French-Canadian, and Italian.

12- I have a mini-schnauzer/beagle (Schneagle) puppy named Chaz, and I love him to death.

13- My engagement ring is a pearl, not because a diamond is too expensive, but because I HATE diamonds. Pearls were actually the traditional stone for a wedding ring along with other gemstones. Diamonds are neither rare nor valuable. The only reason they cost so much is because the diamond industry only lets so few into the market at one time thus keeping them "rare." Blah to diamonds.

14- I live in a town where it is not unusual to see a person riding a horse down the street.

15- If I had a million dollars, I would buy plane tickets to multiple locations for Dan and I, and books, books, books, music, books, books, movies, books, sugar, books, books, books, and sushi.

An Unusual Update Post

If you have ever taken the time to read my blog, you will know that most are my opinions on issues hence the name "A Convenient Truth." I don't want to completely stray from that, but some important things happened in November, and I want to share them with the blog-o-sphere!

It didn't take long for me to realize that November 2010 would be one of the greatest months of my life, comparable to July 2007. All it took was 21 hours for my life to be completing changed due to the wondefulness that is November. How, you ask, because "Vesuvius, I am here. You are all I have. Fire of fire." Confused? Well then I feel horrible for you, but will try and explain. November 1, at around 9 pm a man by the name of Sufjan stepped out on the stage at Kinsbury Hall in SLC, and he made me feel every emotion in one instant/infinite moment.

Here is a taste, that truly doesn't give the performance the credit it deserves. (Impossible Soul pt1)

On friday the 5, I was able to enjoy my first Aggie game of the season at the Spectrum. Aggie basketball starting is always a great time. In my heart the song, "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year" is talking about college basketball season, and particularly Aggie basketball season.

The following week started with sushi on Monday, and then again on Thursday. I love sushi, and hadn't had it for far too long, so twice in one week is close to heaven. The best thing about the Thursday sushi is that it was in Denver with a wonderful man, and was followed by another concert.  A concert I almost equally enjoyed (that is saying a lot). Watching Josh Ritter, you can't help but smile. His lyrics are so creative, and sometimes absolutely hilarious. I have never been to a concert where the person preforming was truly having the best time there. I was having a freaking great time, but Josh was still loving it 10,000 times more than me.

After that I went back to Dan's house with a smile on my face and fell asleep. The next day, Daniel Hilker aka the most wonderful man in the world, proposed to me. He made tilapia, with pasta, and bruschetta, and asked me over a candle lit dinner. What a cutie!

The following week, I was able to go the USU vs BYU game, and although the Aggies lost. It was a fun time, and I got to chat with a couple of my old efy children. It was a great time.

Tonight is the night of the blizzapocolypse, and I will enjoy it by my fire with Sufjan's Songs for Christmas album. Then tomorrow Daniel arrives, and we get to watch aggie basketball, eat thanksgiving dinner, celebrate mexican thanksgiving, go shopping, see friends, and more aggie basketball.

Novemeber, I love you!
